Gripvi clamps onto the lid and holds it for you. You turn the handle. The lid comes off.

  • It grips, you turn. Stainless steel jaws bite the rim of the cap, so the force goes into the lid instead of your palm.
  • Tightens as you twist. The geared clamp closes further the more you turn it, so it grips harder exactly when the lid resists.
  • Fits most lids. The jaws slide open and closed, from small spice caps up to wide sauce and pickle jars.
  • The lid stays usable. Curved jaws follow the shape of the cap instead of crushing it, so the jar reseals and goes back in the fridge.
  • Nothing to charge. No batteries, no cord, no motor. It lives in a drawer and works whenever you pick it up.

  1. Stand the jar on a flat surface and hold it steady with one hand.
  2. Press the clamp down over the lid until the jaws meet the rim.
  3. Turn the handle counter-clockwise. The clamp tightens itself and the lid releases.

What size lids does it fit?
The jaws slide to fit most common jar and bottle caps, from small spice jars to wide sauce jars. Very large caps beyond the jaw travel will not fit.

The clamp and the gripping jaws are stainless steel. The handle is ABS resin, shaped so the pressure spreads across your palm instead of your fingertips.

Does it need batteries or charging?
No. It is entirely manual. There is nothing to charge and nothing to replace.
